Coyotes Assign Stone, Bolduc and Conner to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Michael Stone, forward Alexandre Bolduc and forward Chris Conner to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Stone appeared in a career-high 40 games with the Coyotes this season recording 5-4-9 and 16 penalty minutes (PIM). The 22-year-old native of Winnipeg, Manitoba also totaled 6-22-28 and 20 PIM in 36 games with the Pirates in 2012-13. Stone was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the third round (69th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The 6-foot-2, 208-pound Bolduc has appeared in 14 games with the Coyotes this season. The 27-year-old native of Montreal, Quebec has recorded 24-27-51 and 90 PIM in 56 games with the Pirates in 2012-13 and ranks second on the team in scoring. Bolduc was originally drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round (127th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The 5-foot-8, 190-pound Conner has appeared in 12 games with the Coyotes this season totaling 1-1-2 and a plus-3 rating. The 29-year-old native of Westland, Mich., has registered 13-27-40 and 28 PIM in 60 games with the Pirates this season. Conner signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 2, 2012.

Coyotes Assign Brown to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Chris Brown to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Brown has appeared in five games with the Coyotes this season. He has also played in 63 games with the Pirates in 2012-13 collecting 25-15-40 and 94 penalty minutes (PIM).

The 22-year-old native of Flower Mound, Texas was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (36th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.

Coyotes Assign Chad Johnson & Nick Johnson to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned goaltender Chad Johnson and forward Nick Johnson to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Chad Johnson has made four starts for the Coyotes this season posting a 2-0-2 record with a 1.21 goals against average (GAA) and .954 save percentage (SV%). He recorded 21 saves in his first career NHL shutout against Nashville on Jan. 28, 2013.

The 26-year-old native of Calgary, Alberta has also appeared in 34 games with the Pirates this season posting a 16-15-1 record with a 3.00 GAA and .903 SV%.

Johnson was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fifth round (125th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Nick Johnson has appeared in 17 games with the Coyotes this season totaling 4-2-6 and a plus-3 rating. He has also posted 3-6-9 and 13 penalty minutes (PIM) in 14 games with the Pirates in 2012-13.

The 27-year-old native of Calgary, Alberta has recorded 14-23-37 and 52 PIM in 104 career NHL games. Johnson was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round (67th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The 26-year old native of Calgary, Alberta was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fifth round (125th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman David Rundblad to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Rundblad has appeared in eight games with the Coyotes this season recording 0-1-1. The 22-year-old native of Lycksele, Sweden has recorded 8-26-34 and 22 penalty minutes (PIM) in 44 games with Portland this season and leads all defensemen on the team in scoring.

Rundblad was originally drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the first round (17th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Coyotes Assign Summers to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Chris Summers to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-2, 209-pound Summers has played in six games with the Coyotes this season. He has also appeared in 47 games with the Pirates in 2012-13 collecting 2-9-11 and 47 PIM. Summers has posted 0-3-3 and 24 PIM in 29 career NHL games.

The 25-year-old native of Ann Arbor, Michigan was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (29th overall) in the 2006 Entry Draft.

Coyotes Recall Miele, Assign C. Johnson to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Andy Miele and assigned goaltender Chad Johnson to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 5’ 9”, 175-pound Miele has played in 40 games for Portland this season collecting 11-16-27 and 41 PIM. At the time of his recall, he was second among all Pirates in scoring and goals.

In 2011-12, Miele made his NHL debut on Oct. 23, 2011 at Anaheim and appeared in seven games with the Coyotes. The Grosse Point Woods, Michigan native played in 69 games for Portland last season posting 16-38-54 and 43 PIM.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Johnson made two starts for the Coyotes this season posting a 1-0-1 record with a 0.98 goals against average (GAA) and .952 save percentage (SV %). He earned his first career NHL shutout on Jan. 28 vs. Nashville when he made 21 saves.

Johnson has appeared in 24 games with the Pirates this season posting a 14-8-0 record with a 2.80 GAA and .912 SV %.

In 2011-12, the 26-year-old native of Calgary, Alberta notched a 22-18-6 record with a 2.49 GAA and .919 SV% in 49 games with the Connecticut Whale (AHL). Johnson was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fifth round (125th overall) in the 2006 Entry Draft.

In addition, the Coyotes assigned defenseman David Rundblad to the Arizona Sundogs (CHL).

Coyotes Assign Klinkhammer to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Rob Klinkhammer to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-3, 214-pound Klinkhammer has appeared in 52 games with the Pirates this season collecting a team-leading 14-30-44 and 36 PIM. At the time of his recall, he was tied for eighth in the AHL in points while leading Portland in assists and ranking third on the team in goals.

The 26-year-old native of Lethbridge, Alberta signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 13, 2012.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled defenseman David Rundblad and assigned center Andy Miele to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

The 6-foot-2, 189-pound Rundblad has played three games for the Coyotes this season. In 32 games with Portland, Rundblad has collected 6-17-23 and 10 penalty minutes (PIM). Rundblad ranks fifth on the Pirates in scoring and leads all Pirates defensemen in points.

Rundblad was originally drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the first round (17th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Miele has played one game for the Coyotes this season. In 40 games with the Pirates, Miele has recorded 11-16-27 and 41 PIM. Miele ranks third on the team in points.

Miele was signed by the Coyotes as a free agent on April 2, 2011.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Chris Brown to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Brown made his NHL debut with the Coyotes last night versus the Anaheim Ducks. Brown became just the fifth player from Texas to play in the NHL. In 51 games with the Pirates this season, he has registering 18-11-29 and 79 PIM. At the time of his recall, Brown ranked second on the team in goals and was fourth in scoring while leading the team with seven power-play goals.

The 22-year-old native of Flower Mound, Texas was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (36th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Rundblad has played in three games for the Coyotes this season. In 34 games with Portland, Rundblad has collected 6-19-25 and 16 penalty minutes (PIM). At the time of his recall, Rundblad ranked tied for fourth on the Pirates in scoring and led all Pirates defensemen in points.

Rundblad was originally drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the first round (17th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Stone has appeared in 10 games for the Coyotes this season. The 22-year-old native of Winnipeg, Manitoba has played in 33 games with the Pirates in 2012-13 collecting 6-16-22 and 16 penalty minutes (PIM). At the time of his recall, Stone ranked tied for second among Pirates’ defensemen in goals and ranked second in assists and points. He led all Pirate blueliners with five power-play goals.

Stone was drafted by the Coyotes in the third round (69th overall) in the 2008 Entry Draft.

Coyotes Recall Klinkhammer from AHL, Assign Rundblad to AHL

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Rob Klinkhammer from the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes’ American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-3, 214-pound Klinkhammer has appeared in 53 games with the Pirates this season collecting a team-leading 14-30-44 and 36 PIM. He is tied for tenth in the AHL in points and leads Portland in assists while ranking third on the team in goals.

Klinkhammer has posted 0-2-2 in 16 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators. In 2011-12, the 26-year-old native of Lethbridge, Alberta collected 12-23-35 in 35 games with the Binghamton Senators (AHL) and 0-2-2 in 15 games with Ottawa.

Klinkhammer signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 13, 2012.

The Coyotes also announced that they have assigned defenseman David Rundblad to Portland. He has appeared in eight games with the Coyotes this season. In 34 games with the Pirates, he has recorded 6-19-25.

The 27-year-old native of Montreal, Quebec was originally drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
